Sage House Sportive 2023: Round Up

Our first ever Sage House Sportive took place on Sunday 24th September in partnership with The Rotary Club of Bognor Hotham.

Sportive Cycling event with Bognor Rotham Rotary Club and Sage House Dementia Support Hub

The weather was kind and the rain held off; Sage House created the perfect venue for the 64 riders to check in, get themselves ready and set off in small groups into the beautiful South Downs on either the 25 or 50 mile routes.

Everyone had great fun on the day with lots of positive feedback from the cyclists: they enjoyed the routes' good combination between challenging and enjoyable with beautiful scenery.

Daisy’s Café was the perfect stop afterwards for a bite to eat, a chance to chat with fellow cyclists and meet new people.

The whole event raised over £4000 with a combination of donations from the Rotary Club, Just Giving pages created by 6 cyclists – (Big thanks to Steve Cooper, Martin Cook, Geoff Chapman, Susan Allen, Robert Munns, and Lennaert Voshol), donations on the day and Daisy’s Café takings.

What a great result, we are extremely grateful for Karen and Gavin from The Rotary Club of Bognor Hotham for all their hard work and support in putting this event on with us.

Next years date is set for Sunday 22nd September 2024. We can't wait to see you there!
